The track looks newly laid but has not yet got the electrical jumpers across the fishplates although the rail is drilled. The Brush was new to Finsbury Park in early September 1960.

1A66 was used throughout the 60's on Down trains from Kings Cross, but this is an Up working so something has gone awry. The train load is 7 and does it has a buffet car, my hunch is an Up Cambridge Buffet Express that should be 1B66 and the shadoows and other pictures taken that day suggest it is the 15.15 ex Cambridge due at Kings Cross at 16.46.
