D5634 with GN & GE line Down vans. The single track M&GN line connected with the chord seen to the right continues in the distance to the site of their Murrow East station. This station closed with all the M&GN in 1959 but the chord allowed freight traffic to remain until April 1965. The signal box controlling the crossing was demolished by a train and the corner of the roof of the modern 1950 replacement signal box controlling the crossing can just be seen on the extreme left - now a private residence with a sympathetic extension to the rear.
