D5608 1960s Cambridge

Darren Kitson says "Location is the carriage sidings opposite the London end of the station and the train will form a stopper for King's Cross. The stock is one of the non-corridor 'block ender' sets used on King's Cross suburban services. Annoyingly, these trains were rarely photographed at Cambridge with enthusiasts ignoring them whilst using countless rolls of film on the Cambridge Buffet Express and the Liverpool Street trains. D5608 waiting in the carriage sidings may suggest the photograph was taken during the early morning as a couple of suburban sets were stabled overnight at Cambridge at this time".
