On the curve to West Jct and therefore on to March with very modern looking empty timber wagons - when were these introduced and does anyone know the traffic flow please?Vic Smith repliesLooks like Dia 1/420 15T timber wagons built at Ashford in 1962 in the number series B455500 - B455580.These 15T vehicles were intended for use from Eastern ports with sawn timber, so could be empties for Wisbech Docks, which dealt with imported timber. David J Hayes adds If I may, further to what has already been said, the three empty timber (logs) carrying wagons coupled behind the Brush Type 2 look very similar to those later acquired by British Steel in the early 1970s and given the TOPS code PXV. These found use on such traffic as tubes from Corby to such destinations as Brierley Hill in the Black Country region of the West Midlands
