BR 31 No D5524 with a diverted Harwich-Liverpool Street train approaching Cambridge on Sunday 28 May 1961; the train has nameboards and could be the "Hook Continental". The diversion was for the installation of the bridge over the Clacton dive-under at Colchester.
The Brush Type 2 is one of the production series, but not fitted with headcode box. In the background a steam 'stationary boiler' awaits its fate.
