The tablet catcher is extended ready to drop off the token as it heads away from Midford with a train from Bath Green Park.

This train is heading downhill on Park Bank just short of Midford Goods and Long Arch tunnel. It is therefore a down train, probably going to Bournemouth. Behind the photographer is a tree appearing in many of Ivo Peters shots from this location (Up trains, literally on this stretch of line which was on a rising gradient of 1:55, headed North to Bath)
