Brand new 9F No 92211 is at an advanced stage of consruction at Swindon Works on 19th August 1959. It was destined to have a brief career which ended with withdrawal from Wakefield (56A) in May 1967. Sister locomotive No 92210 which is adjacent, had an even shorter existence which terminated in November 1964. Note the group of excited spotters being shepherded through the Works at the rear left!
