An unusual visitor to Shap seen at Scout Green on 2nd September 1961, No 92072 heads a Class E freight for Carlisle. The shed code 16D is for Annesley so the loco would normally be found on the Great Central main line. In this photograph the diminutive Scout Green box and its tall ex-LNWR signal can both be clearly seen. The signal remained in use until late 1962 when it was replaced by a small colour light.
