This June 1967 panoramic view of Mirfield, shows BR Riddles 'Standard 9F' No. 92166 heading west with an oil tanker working. By this time, the MPD (just out of view to the left) had closed and the coaling stage and combined water tank was now disused and the adjacent yard empty. The writing on the wall was now all too evident.

92166 was built at Crewe in May 1958 and was withdrawn in November 1967. The comparative view in 2022 is just too sad to relate.
