BR Riddles 'Standard 9F' class 2-10-0 No. 92006. Built at Crewe in Feb. 1954 and withdrawn in April 1967. My favourite childhood haunt was Addingford Bridge at Horbury in the Calder Valley. With great views in both directions, high or low level (as here) vantage points and a constant procession of steam-hauled trains of every description. Begrimed, homeward miners fom the adjacent Hartley Bank Colliery would offer passing greetings "as tha' copped onny good 'uns?" or "ah tha' eear ageean?". Translation available on request! 92006 passes westbound in May 1966.
