No.92022 pictured on 30th April 1961 was in store at Wellingborough from May 1959 awaiting conversion to a standard boiler. The door for the Crosti pre-heater below the main boiler barrel is readily apparent in this view. No.92022 finally left for Crewe Works in April 1962 returning to traffic on 20th June. No.92023 in the background had also been stored since 1959 although it went for conversion in June 1961.
