With 88A plate (12/61 – 9/62). 92208 only visited Swindon Works 12/4/62 – 25/6/62 for a Heavy Intermediate Standard practice at Swindon Works meant that all locomotives undergoing overhaul within A Shop were separated from their tenders which were dealt with elsewhere , engines and tenders being reunited following completion of all necessary work , and 92208 , resplendent here in new colours will have hers back again before returning to duty . Originally destined for the Western Region at Newport's Ebbw Vale Depot when built at Crewe in 1954 this engine , together with sister 92209 was instead diverted on to the Midland Region and found herself allocated to Wellingborough from where both worked the Toton to Brent coal trains
