The freight yard at Poppleton Ings, just north of York was not frequently photographed. The main photographic attractions of York Station and MPD understandably tended to steal the limelight. On a somewhat gloomy day in August 1964, BR Riddles 'Standard 9F' 2-10-0 No. 92200 gets underway with a northbound mixed freight. It was built at Swindon in November 1958 and had a life of not quite seven years being withdrawn in October 1965.
