No.92020 photographed soon after its conversion completed in June 1961, following two years in store at Wellingborough. Interestingly, Crewe Works did not bother to repaint its tender which still has a pre-1957 crest. It has retained the horizontal handrail below the cab windows, although these were removed later. No.92020 stayed at its original shed until October 1963 when it was transferred to Kirkby-in-Ashfield. As with seven other former Crosti engines it ended up at Birkenhead from where it was withdrawn in late 1967.
