Carlisle Kingmoor 9F 92125 approaches St Helens from the Gerards Bridge, and hence Wigan direction, past the Watney empty bottle stores that make an ideal background for several shots of St Helens Yard and headshunt. The date is 14th April 1967 and the working is the Long Meg to Walton anhydrite hoppers which ran down the S&C, Hellifield to Blackburn, Whelley, Ince Moss, St. Helens, then down the St.Helens and Runcorn Gap line to Widnes. The signal box just visible beneath the bracket is Pocket Nook Junction box, LM&SR built but fitted with a L&NWR 39-lever tumbler frame. It closed on 1st October 1972.
