South Devon Railway designed 2-4-0 Tank No. 1300 at Swindon Works sales dump on Sunday 2nd June 1935. Inherited as a kit of parts assembled at Swindon in 1876, it was stationed at Exeter to work the Culm Valley Light Railway branch and was withdrawn in 1934.
