5449 1939-08-23 Bagthorpe Junction

GCR A5 4-6-2T No 5449 down slow passing Bagthorpe Junction on 23 August 1939. The coaches are all of GCR origin, including the clerestories.

Steve Banks adds "A good example of cascading stock into a secondary 4-set. This Nottingham area Ordinary Passenger has a mixture of ex-GCR carriages with two 50' clerestories of c1903, an 1899 Parker 46'6" gangwayed luggage composite between them, and a Robinson matchboard, possibly a 56' design. Dare I suggest a Saturdays Only working?"
