Ordered by the Great Central Railway A5 tank No.69825 was not completed by Gorton Works and put into traffic until April 1923. It was transferred to Colwick in January 1950 and worked from there, except for a short break at nearby Annesley, until withdrawn in November 1959. It looks like the big tank was still earning its keep when this study was taken.
