1917 built A5 4-6-2T No.69818 brings the local passenger from Derby Friargate into West Hallam bound for Nottingham Victoria. Colwick had not received its first A5 until the dark days of 1940 and then it was only a stop gap measure. It was not until the Thompson L1s arrived at Neasden, eventually completely ousting the A5s, that Victoria again saw the class, No.69818 arriving in July 1951 to power services such as this.
