It's departing from the north end of platform 2 Given the length of the shadows the train is almost certainly the 17.48 Derby - Nottingham which was, unusually, routed via Chaddesden sidings and so departed from the north end of the station. It was usually hauled, from the mid-50's onwards by an ex-LNER loco as it balanced the 12.40 ex-Lincoln (arr. Derby 14.55).
