Estimated date, on an imported steel train heading towards Bescot.

David J Hayes adds the detail: "The service is the morning 4T52 trip from Birmingham Lawley Street Freightliner Terminal to Round Oak Rail Terminal (RORT), which was opened in September 1986. The RORT building was once part of the Round Oak Steelworks, which closed in December 1982. The wagons behind the locomotive are Seawheel intermodal types laden with steel coil imported through Ipswich Docks. The traffic was conveyed to the West Midlands using the Freightliner network. This trip sometimes called at Washwood Heath Yard (then a Metals sector hub) to attach conventional wagonload consignments of steel, the trip then running forward as a Class 6 (6T52). I believe these Seawheel intermodal wagons were used on a triangular diagram, which saw them working loaded from Ipswich Docks to RORT; empty from RORT to South Wales using the Freightliner network via Lawley Street, Crewe and Cardiff Pengam; and loaded from South Wales to Ipswich Docks with export steel."
