David J. Hayes says "Splendid shot with a nice selection of cars from that era. 4V37 was the 07:45 MSuX Mandatory Air-Braked Company train from Garston to Maidenhead, which was electric-hauled to Bescot (E-D 10:08-10:28). For me, this mid-1970s image brings back school memories from when I was 14/15 years of age and seeing lengthy automotive trains laden with vividly coloured cars running alongside the elevated section of the M6 Motorway (Junction 9) on the approach to Bescot Yard from the Wolverhampton direction. Back in those days, I had no idea where such trains came from or went to!"
