The end of a long and illustrious road for an Adams 0415 Class. No 30584 had been withdrawn in February 1961 and still languished at Eastleigh awaiting cutting up in August. Souvenir hunters have purloined the smokebox numberplate and builders plate. Built in 1885 it ran for many years on the Lyme Regis branch as No 3520.
