Fresh from the St Rollox Works paintshop, ex-CR 4-2-2 No 123 poses at Dawsholm shed in August 1959. A razor sharp portrait of the newly restored locomotive. It had yet to carry out any official functions but was put into steam for the benefit of members of the press who had been brought to Dawsholm by a special DMU.
