A splendid view of Kingswear station , the terminus of the line through Torquay and Paignton from Newton Abbot with the River Dart on the right , and Dartmouth on the far bank .
The station " Running In " board reads " Kingswear for Dartmouth " , and to get to Dartmouth , the only station with no trains , passengers would have to cross the Dart from Kingswear station by ferry before heading up the enclosed passage way leading up from the River to the trackless station itself !
Kingswear's locomotive turntable is out of shot on the extreme left whilst the Britannia Royal Naval College is high above the river on its far bank and also out of camera range on the far right.
