Snow Hill’s decline was rapid following the withdrawal of the London through service in March 1967, as it soon became the largest unstaffed halt in the country. Trains from Stourbridge were diverted to New Street and those from Leamington and Stratford to Moor Street; the tunnel at the south end was closed in March 1968. A lonely single unit diesel car waits at Platform 4 on the ever-decreasing service to Wolverhampton Low Level as commuters stroll along Platform 5 to the DMU waiting there.
