Hornsea 1956-08-31

The late Henry C. Casserley took tens of thousands of railway photographs from 1919 until the early 1970s. Although most of his subjects were locomotives at work and rest, he also recorded infrastructure. This lovely panorama at the ex-NER's Hornsea Station (closed October 1964) on the East Yorkshire coast, typifies just one of the many the long-lost railway stations Henry captured on film. Friday 31st August 1956.
