Brush Type 4 No D1957 climbs Shap with a down Freightliner train on April Folls Day 1967. Note the former suburban coach leading the train and providing accomodation for the guard (who is looking out) due to the failure of 'caboose' containers and a Union dispute.
David J Hayes says " 3S45 was the London (York Way) to Glasgow Gushetfaulds service. Not sure what the departure time was as of April 1967, but I believe it was departing at 4:40am as of November of that year. "
