BR 'Class D1' 0-4-0 Diesel Mechanical Shunter No. 11500. Built by Hunslet of Leeds in December 1954 and withdrawn in December 1967 as BR No. D2950.

This delightful May 1956 portrait was taken at Ipswich Docks in Suffolk. The 'cow catcher' front grille and the side skirts were essential safety features when working in such environments. St. Peter's by the Waterfront Church on College Street is seen behind and was built in 1460. It is now a heritage centre.
