A very busy scene at Birmingham New Street Station in May 1938. LMS Fowler '4P' class 2-6-4 Tank No. 2351 is eager to depart whilst on the left, No. 1164, an LMS Fowler '4P Compound' is being readied by its crew. Just visible on the right is a LMS Fowler 'Patriot' 4-6-0 No. 5514 'Holyhead'. Allegedly, although all of these classes are attributed to Sir Henry Fowler, he played little or no part in the design of locomotives!
