With 65309, both withdrawn off Bathgate at the end of June 1964 althouth 65346 had been in store since February. Their fate was identical - both are reported towed away to Motherwell Machinery & Scrap at Wishaw in September 1964. However the absence of a drawhook on the tender looks like a bit of an inconvenience for moving around the yard and towing away!
