Other K1s were overhauled for several more years but this was the prototype re-built from a K4 and the frames at least were 8 years older than any other member of the class. Behind is D2402 which was allocated to Boston from 1957-1963. It was in Doncaster works for a light casual repair from 17th March to 1st July.
