Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Barton Wright '6ft. 0in.' class 4-4-0 No. 826. Built by Neilson & Co. of Glasgow in November 1883 and withdrawn in June 1908. Good photographs of Barton Wright's express locomotives are thin on the ground. Restored from a crisp but very faded print, here is 826 and its proud crew at Blackburn Station (probably) in the 1890s.
