A pair of Hughes LYR 0-8-2Ts, Nos 1504 and 1503 in c1920 at Agecroft. Five of these engines were built at Horwich in 1908, being the first engines to have the large boilers that were fitted to the 0-8-0s from 1910. They gained the nickname 'Little Egberts' after a well knowntroupe of performing elephants of those days.
