'Out on the line' photographs of the express passenger 4-4-0s of the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway are somewhat scarce. Thus a slightly lower image quality is compensated for by a fine action view near Lytham St. Anne's of Sir John Aspinall's '7ft. 3in.' class No. 1098 with an express for Blackpool circa 1922.
