Ex-LMS Stanier '4P' class 2-6-4 Tank No. 42455. Built at Derby in August 1936 and withdrawn in April 1966.

There were 206 of these well-proportioned 2-cyl. Stanier Tanks built from 1936-43. Charles Fairburn modified the design slightly, reducing the weight and a shorter wheelbase. A further 277 of the Fairburn version were built up to 1951. Here is a dramatic head on view of 42455 at Trafford Pak MPD in June 1965.
