Edwalton station was on the Nottingham to Manton line, first station south of Nottingham, closed to regular passengers on 28 July 1941. LMS 4P 2-6-4T No 42636 heading for Nottingham with the 8.52am Skegness excursion on 7 June 1959.
The Nottingham Evening Post, June 4 1959, has a list of Trips By Train, including one to Boston & Skegness on Sunday June 7. The timings were: Nottingham Vic 0945, Netherfield & Colwick 0954, Radcliffe on Trent 0959. Presumably this was the train to which the coaches were attached, somewhere in Nottingham area.
