Midland Pullman set with M60090 leading comes round the wartime spur from Claydon LNE Junction on the Bletchley to Oxford line to Calvert LMS Junction on the GC main line forming the 05.45 Preston to Wembley Hill Cup Final special on May 2, 1964.

It was hired by Preston North End to take the team to Wembley for the F.A.Cup Final v West Ham. The driver was Gorton man Jimmy Gilmour, one of the four trained to work the empty train from Reddish Depot to Manchester Central and back. No Trafford Park men were trained, normally Kentish Town men worked the down trains and lodged in Manchester.
