Peter Kerslake says "My records show that 62543 was housed at Bury St. Edmunds at the date of this 1954 view but she is recorded here runningup from Cambridge depot with a second "Claud" in the background, both engines retaining the rather fine ornate valencing over the driving wheels.
Built in 1904 this engine was during the last war working on the Midland and Great Northern line linking the Midlands with the North Norfolk coast and she spent from August of 1946 until November of 1950 based at South Lynn on such workings.
Her last depot was at March from where she was condemned in October of 1958".
