Ex-Great Eastern Rly. J. Holden 'D16/3' class 4-4-0 No. 62562. Built at Stratford in March 1908 as GER No. 1831, rebuilt to class 'D16/2' iin April 1928 and to class 'D16/3' in February 1946. Withdrawn in October 1957.

A very quiet October 1953 scene at Wisbech in Cambridgeshire. Even the posters appear to be taking a rest between new advertising campaigns! It's always nice to see former GER locomotives still carrying their decorative frame valances.
