Great Eastern Railway J. Holden 'D56' (LNER 'D15') class 4-4-0 No. 1823. Built At Stratford in November 1909. Rebuilt to class 'D15/2' in December 1929 and to class 'D16/3' in April 1938. Withdrawn in December 1955 as BR No. 62574.

All of what appear to be Stratford's cleaning crew (judging by their ages), have gathered in November 1909 to be immortalised in celluloid and to celebrate a new locomotive entering traffic.
