Peter Kerslake says "Built as early as January of 1901 the former 8887 became 62518 in 1948 and despite her age was still capable of being one of Kings Lynn depot's "Royal Clauds" and together with sister engine 62614 from early 1946 they worked the special trains between Kings Lynn and Wolferton when Royalty was visiting Sandringham.
This engine survived until being condemned in October of 1958 so she was nearing the end of her days at the date of this view."
