Arriving with the 4.51 ex Peterborough on 14th May 1959, D16 4-4-0 No.62613 was a new allocation to Peterborough Spital Bridge only arriving there on the 12th April from Yarmouth. No doubt the shed forman would be looking for suitable work for his new steed and this service seemed suitable. However the D16 could not have been terribly suitable because in January of the following year it would be sent packing to March to join other members of the class for their final days.
