The RCTS had already run two previous 'East Midlander' railtours and here at York we see the third such venture in May 1957. Ex-GER Holden D16/3 No.62571 awaits departure on the York to Nottingham Midland leg of the tour. 62571 was built at Stratford as a class 'D15' or 'Claud Hamilton' 4-4-0 in June 1909 as GER No. 1820. It was rebuilt to class D16/3' in May 1939 and withdrawn in Jan. 1959.
