IWCR 7 1910s Ryde
IWCR Beyer, Peacock 2-4-0T No 7 at Ryde St.Johns. The date must be much earlier than 1930, as she has boiler mountings as when sold by the MSWJR. The MSWJR minutes reported the sale of the loco in November 1906. She then had to have her vacuum brake fittings replaced with Westinghouse before she could be used on the Isle of Wight. As the bush behind the smokebox has leaves, this photo could not to be earlier than summer 1907, but could be quite a bit later.
By around 1920 her safety valves had been moved to above the firebox, and a plain painted dome fitted, and, according to Casserley & Johnston, she was withdrawn in 1926.
