What a splendid shot of one of the early "Kings " on the down " Cornish Riviera " , the 10.30.a.m. from Paddington to Plymouth , and it must surely be summertime with people on the beach and the car parks full.br/ It looks like there are more than ten coaches behind the " King " so it will need to stop on the through road at Newton Abbot , as it's not booked to call there , in order to take on a pilot for Dainton and Rattery banks which are to be tackled between there and Plymouth.br/ The maximum load for an unassisted " King " would have been 360 tonnes , or ten coaches on that stretch of line
