Off 15B. On 18 January 1960, locomotive 43048 was hauling the Kettering to Leicester slow local train when it was derailed by an empty wagon train travelling on the up slow line which had come of the rails just north of Kettering. 43048 ended up on its side and the driver and fireman spent some time in hospital as a result of their injuries.
