George Ivatt's first LMS '4MT' class2-6-0 No. 43000 crosses the River Eden at Etterby, Carlisle with a down van freight. It is passing over the replacement bridge built by the LMS in 1942. 43000 was built at Horwich in Dec. 1947 as LMS No. 3000 and was withdrawn in Sept. 1967.
