Platform 5 at Church Fenton station in April 1965 is where we see Ivatt '4MT' 2-6-0 No. 43071 with the 08:10 pick-up goods for Wetherby awaiting the right away.
This cross-country route that continued to Harrogate was closed in 1964 for passengers and 1966 for goods. Several miles of the line's route near Wetherby are now a public footpath. 43071 was built at Darlington in August 1950 and withdrawn in March 1967.
