‘M7’ No.30048 rests between duties having set the two coach branch set into the platform. The shed at Seaton was built in the 1930s using ‘Muribloc’ and had a roof of corrugated asbestos sheeting on an iron frame; it was closed on 4th November 1963 when diesels took over the working of the line. The adjacent coaling stage and water tower shown in this June 1962 picture were also renewed in the 1930s using concrete parts from the Southern’s Exmouth Junction works.
